Dr Siti Roszilawati Ramli is a Clincal microbiologist and biomedical resaercher from Institute for Medical Research (IMR), National Institute of Health. She studied human medicine and surgery (MBBS), advance diagnostic molecular microbiology (MPath) and molecular epidemiology, genomic /transciptomic analysis and biomarker of infectious diseases. (PhD), she was supervised by Prof. Hust and Prof. Pessler in identifying antigen biomarker using phage display as well as comparative genomic analysis and genotyping of human pathogen i.e. Leptospira spp. Currently, she is in-charge of diagnosis and research on tuberculosis, zoonotic and tick-borne diseases in Bacteriology Unit, Institute for Medical Research. Her main research areas are development of molecular and rapid diagnostic tools and genotyping for melioidosis, zoonotic diseases as well as development of drug resistant tuberculosis assay using next generation sequencing platform. She is currently the module coordinator for Bacteriology Module in Diploma Medical Microbiology program under SEAMEO-Tropmed at IMR. She is also actively involve in diagnostic laboratory audits, subspecialty trainings for tropical infectious disease and tuberculosis as well as reviewer for many prestigious local and international journals. She is the committee member of Tuberculosis National Technical Committee, and Zoonotic Diseases Technical Committee.
