Dr Azza Omar

Dr Azza Omar is a Respiratory Physician in Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II in Kelantan Malaysia. She graduated in Medicine from the Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1999 and in 2008 received a Master's Degree in Internal Medicine in the same university. Later, she continued her fellowship in respiratory in various hospitals in Malaysia. Her main interest lies in Lung Oncology, Asthma and COPD. Dr Azza Omar is a member of the developing committee for Malaysian CPG Asthma and actively involved in both Malaysia Thoracic Society (MTS) and Malaysia Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (MABIP). She is also the Adjunc. Prof for Lincoln University College based in Kota Bharu Kelantan. Her center, Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, is one of the pioneer hospitals to run severe asthma clinics in Malaysia. Together with 9 other key national respiratory physicians in the country, Dr Azza was part of the “Severe Asthma Working Group” who developed multiple materials, including a guide for all healthcare professionals to establish severe asthma clinics in Malaysia. Dr Azza has involved in multiple speaking engagements, and she is known for her convincing and passionate style of delivery. She is one of the local respiratory physicians that the other specialists in the fraternity look up to, thanks to her multitude of experiences in managing different types of patients, as well as her broad knowledge in the space of respiratory diseases.
