Ahmad Izuanuddin Ismail
Dr Ahmad Izuanuddin Ismail graduated from University College Dublin in 2002. He obtained his Diploma from Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2007 and embarked on training in Respiratory Medicine at Waterford Regional Hospital, Ireland. He joined the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA upon returning to Malaysia in 2010, and now is a Professor of Medicine.
Dr Izuan is currently holding the post of Deputy Director of Hospital Al Sultan Abdullah Universiti Teknologi MARA, having previously served as Deputy Dean of Clinical Services, and Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Faculty. He is actively involved in medical education as well as research in the field of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. He is also a speaker on diverse topics in respiratory medicine.
He is a member of European Respiratory Society, Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, Malaysian and Irish Thoracic Societies, and Sleep Disorder Society Malaysia. He was awarded with Fellowship of American College of Chest Physician (FCCP) in 2013. He is the current Vice President of the College of Physicians Malaysia and, current President of Malaysian Thoracic Society and Sleep Disorder Society Malaysia.
