Jessie Anne de Bruyne
Jessie Anne de Bruyne graduated from Sheffield Medical School in the UK and obtained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Paediatrics). After working for several years in the UK she returned to work in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Malaya, where she developed the respiratory paediatrics unit. She headed the Paediatric Respiratory and Allergy Unit and the Paediatric Emergency Unit. She now practices in University Malaya Specialist Centre and is a visiting consultant in University Malaya Medical Centre. She has researched and published in the field of respiratory paediatrics and learnt together with many undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is or has been a member and/or council member in the Malaysian Paediatric Association(MPA), the Malaysian Thoracic Society(MTS) and the Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology(MSAI) and, internationally, in the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology & Immunology(APAPARI) and the Asian Paediatric Pulmonology Society(APPS). She served as head of the Paediatric Lung Disease Assembly, Asian Pacific Society of Respirology(APSR). She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lung Foundation of Malaysia. She has been a speaker at both local and international meetings.
