AN UPDATE ON THE MALAYSIAN CPG ON MANAGEMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNOEA

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is a common sleep-related breathing disorder caused by repetitive upper airway collapse resulting in partial or complete breathing cessation. OSA affects both adults and children. The prevalence of OSA in children is 1 - 4% and have been reported to be up to 5.7%. Our first Malaysian CPG on Management of OSA was launched July last year (2023) and this CPG include OSA in children covering wide range of OSA in children subtopic from risk factor, clinical presentation, diagnosis and screening and comprehensive management that suitable for all level of health care provider.
